Regional Focus. We know what it takes to build businesses of lasting value. As a result, we believe that successful early stage investing must be a local business – working side-by-side with entrepreneurs, rolling up our sleeves, and partnering for success. Based in New York’s Capital Region, we invest primarily in New York based businesses, from the new media and financial services center that is Manhattan, up the Hudson Valley, and across the technology centers of Upstate New York.
National Reach. Through our relationship with Village Ventures, we are more than just a regional firm with a strong local team. We are part of a national network of more than 40 early-stage investors, and we benefit from the eyes and ears, the business relationships, and the experiences of that entire extended team. As a network, we have done more early-stage deals than any independent venture firm in the country over the past three years. As investors, we bring this broad base of experiences to bear to make smarter choices on where and in whom to invest. After we’ve invested, as partners with our entrepreneurs, this means we can bring to bear resources that are unmatched by any fund of our size as we work to help our companies grow.
