Peak Pitch Gives Entrepreneurs a Lift
Peak Pitch ‘07 brings start-ups and investors together on the slopes at Gore Mountain.
High Peaks Venture Partners announces the first New York Peak Pitch event. Peak Pitch brings entrepreneurs and investors from across New York State together for a unique version of the classic “elevator pitch.” In the traditional elevator pitch, entrepreneurs take advantage of an unexpected opportunity to share an elevator ride with a potential investor and present their business idea. At Peak Pitch, a shared gondola is substituted for the elevator, giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their business plans to a variety of venture capitalists, angel investors, commercial lenders, and other entrepreneurial advisors as they ride up the mountain together.
“Peak Pitch is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs and investors to network in an informal setting. Entrepreneurs can get some candid feedback on their business plan and investors can get introduced to some promising companies. The 8 minute gondola ride might just be the first step in closing a million dollar investment for some of these young companies” said Bela Musits, a Managing Director at High Peaks Venture Partners.
