Bill Wray
EVP and Chief Information Officer, Citizens Financial Group
Bill Wray is Group Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Citizens Financial Group. Bill manages Citizens Services Group, the enterprise technology and operations arm of Citizens, which includes over 4,000 employees. He is a member of the Executive Policy Committee, the company’s senior management team.
As CIO, he is responsible for integrating the technical and operational aspects of all acquisitions, and for managing large system initiatives such as branch Platform and Teller Automation and Enterprise Imaging. He also oversees all core processing functions for Citizens Bank and its affiliates in the U.S. and is the Executive Champion for Citizens’ Six Sigma initiative.
Wray joined Citizens in 1993 and became CIO in 2000. Prior to that, he was with Shawmut Bank. In addition to technology and operations, his banking experience includes senior roles in credit and risk management. Prior to his banking assignments, he served as an Army officer and worked in commercial real estate investment.
