Devon Watson, Senior Associate
Devon joined High Peaks in 2005. Prior to entering the venture capital industry, Devon co-founded a software start-up that developed one of the first Software as a Service (SaaS) approaches to delivering Business Intelligence software for mid-market clients, a strategy that has since been adopted by the industry leaders. During the company’s lifecycle he was responsible for business strategy and planning, product development and sales.
Devon began his career as a technology consultant leading business intelligence, data warehousing and application development projects for clients in the manufacturing, distribution and business service sectors. In this role he worked closely with senior business managers to bridge the gap between business problems and technology solutions, managed joint sales efforts with major ISV’s and was a frequent speaker at software user groups, seminars and conferences.
Devon holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from Clarkson University where he also completed core coursework in mechanical and electrical engineering. While at Clarkson, Devon was a founding member and Vice President of the university’s Tae Kwon Do team.
